Attempting to find the right Valentine’s Day Date can be tricky, in MyWebSearch, new technology and social media is the answer. With companies like facebook and eHarmony leading the industry in consumer behavior you should have no problem finding your perfect match.
First, I suggest getting onto facebook and looking through all you’ll old “flings,” it’s the modern day “little black book.” Where are they located? Are they located near you? Does it look like that person has changed in a positive way? Oh, and the most important questions, does that person say they are in a relationship? Next, I would look through all your old crushes. Harder to reach out to, but maybe something that that they’re doing relates to you and your life. Then I would send out, “Hi, it’s been forever…” messages. The earlier the better. The closer you get to Valentine’s Day, the more lonely and desperate you look.
If Facebook doesn’t work you, I would try eHarmony. I know what you might be thinking, eHarmony definitely makes you look desperate, but not anymore. Friends of mine use eHarmony and they love it. Some people even find their solemates. Now, I’m not promising you’ll find your solemate, but I at least a date for Valentines Day.
With all the holidays in my rear view mirror its time to focus on pretty much all of America’s New Years resolution: to get back into shape. Being the true procrastinator that I am I used MyWebSearch to try and find some good running shoes. How can I start my new work outs without the proper attire?!
My first step was to do some research and try and see what type of shoe works best for the running I would potentially be doing. Since I was never a runner I figured a shoe that was made for short distances would work best. Something simple. But the more I did research on MyWebSearch to more I found that to become better at running you really need a good pair of shoes.
I then found out about minimalist running shoes. The concept being that you’re more or less running barefoot. Some of these shoes still looked like normal running shoes but with less sole. So you will be forced to run on your toes and not heal-toe like how you would with a heavier shoe. Then I found out about Vibrams. These shoes look like toe socks and really feel like your running barefoot. While I’ve only just started using them its gotten me back on track to getting in shape and completing my New Years resolution!
The holidays are here and so is the shopping. Black Friday has passed but the sales are still going and with Christmas just around the corner I’ve been on a hunt for the best presents at the best prices.
I’ve been shopping at stores like Best Buy to try and find a flat screen for my dad for the right price. But everything I found was too expensive for the quality. Then someone in the store told me to try Costco. Surprisingly they had all the TV’s that Best Buy had and for cheaper prices! Plus I was able to get some food shopping done too.
After that giant present was taken care of I searched with the help of MyWebSearch for all the local and online sales. I found out that a store just down the street from me was selling a purse I had wanted to buy for my mother for half of the price I had originally found it at a department store!
Now that MyWebSearch helped me find presents for others I can search for presents for myself!
Recently major networks have been pushing viewers to watch their all new hit comedy shows. However, most of these new hit shows don’t even make it past episode four. I am here to help you choose which comedy is right for you.
When it comes to animated comedy, you can pretty much any of Seth McFarlane’s shows (“American Dad”, “Family Guy”, and “The Cleveland Show”) and get a good laugh because every show is more or less the same. You have the dad who creates ridiculous scenarios that the wife has to get him out of, the wise talking kid, the talking animal, and the whacky neighbor. If you enjoy animation and are looking for something different I suggest taking a look at Bob’s Burgers. It has that awkward British humor that “The Office” brought to TBS.
If your interested in a comedy that has a little more of a dark side I’d suggest watching “Wilfred”. When I first saw the commercials for the show I was pretty sure it was going to be too strange for me. Turns out a retired lawyer, played by Elijah Wood, who is the only person who can see that his neighbor’s dog is really a man dressed up in a dog costume is pretty funny.
Finally, if you’re in the mood for a feel good comedy about friends check out “Happy Endings”. Check out MyWebSearch Update for all the latest news about TV and upcoming comedies.
My search for the hottest new album this week led me straight to the long-awaited album from rapping superstars Jay-Z and Kanye West. Their new collaborative album is called “Watch the Throne,” and it’s complete with 16 tracks where the duo raps about issues from wealth to fame to racism.
Many speculated that an album from Jay-Z and West was impossible — their egos would clash too much. It doesn’t seem so, and these artists had collaborated in the past, like in a remake of M.I.A.’s “Swagger Like Us” that also features T.I. and Lil’ Wayne and also in “Hate,” a track off Jay-Z’s “Blueprint III” album. Though Jay-Z and West did wonders to prevent the album from leaking to the internet, “Otis,” a track featuring Otis Redding’s “Try a Little Tenderness.”
In an era when rap is known for focusing on sex, diamonds and fast cars, this new album from the rap duo is incredibly refreshing. “Murder to Excellence” is one of the best tracks on the album, starting with West in the first half. He goes on to compare urban rates to deaths in the Iraq War and genocide. Jay-Z follows up West’s portion with a discussion of wealth and prestige, and how it’s a celebration to “black excellence.”
My search for a great guy has been, as most women would agree, admittedly challenging. If only I could have the help of a handy TV show like the Bachelorette! In Monday night’s finale, Bachelorette Ashley Hebert was faced with a choice between two guys — Ben, a wine maker from Sonoma, Calif. and JP, a construction manager from New York. Before she made her choice, both men had the chance to meet her family, which is usually a pretty standard event where the dad and the brothers grill the two prospective fiancés and the mom reassures her daughter that she’s going to make the right choice.
This season, though, Ashley’s sister became very vocal when she thought that JP wasn’t a good match for her sister. She attacked JP in their one-on-one chat and told Ashley that JP was too old and serious for her, which, of course, made Ashley very upset. Her family seemed very taken with Ben, or at least, that was how the editing made it seem.
After choosing engagement rings for the Bachelorette, both men made their way to meet her. Ben arrived first, meaning he was the loser. Ashley, with tears in her eyes and a shaky voice, tried to say something, but Ben interrupted her, going on about how every time he sees her he falls more in love, eventually getting down on his knee and proposing. When he learned that he, in fact, was not going to put the ring on Ashley’s finger, he stormed away in an angry haze.
JP arrived, Ashley giggled, he proposed, and they ran into the waters of Fiji hand in hand. Why can’t my search ever go that well?
During my search today, I found some exciting news for ‘90s Nicktoons fans — Nickelodeon is bringing back some of its programming from the ‘90s on its TeenNick channel. The new retro programming black, called “The ‘90s are All That,” began Monday at midnight with the season two premiere of “All That,” which originally aired in 1995. Next was “Kenan & Kel,” who got their own show after “All That’s” “Good Burger” sketch was so popular. Kenan Thompson is now a permanent cast member on “Saturday Night Live,” so it’s safe to say that he’s had much success in his career in his post-“Kenan & Kel” days. Kel Mitchell, on the other hand, hosted a random dance competition and now does voice-overs.
“Clarissa Explains It All” was up next, starring Melissa Joan Hart. Hart is arguably better known from “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” and now stars on the ABC Family sitcom “Melissa & Joey” with Joey Lawrence. Bringing the line-up to a close was “Doug,” the only cartoon hit from “The ‘90s are All That’s” first night. Doug tells the story of Doug Funnie, an awkward, geeky kid in love with Patti Mayonnaise and terrorized by Roger Klotz. Don’t forget — his best friend is named Skeeter, and he’s blue.
According to my search, the programming block, which will air from midnight to 2 a.m. weeknights on TeenNick, will also include “Ren & Stimpy,” “Family Double Dare,” “CatDog,” “Legends of the Hidden Temple,” “Hey Arnold,” “Are You Afraid of the Dark,” “The Adventures of Pete & Pete,” and “Rugrats.”
During my web search today, I came across the latest music news — Atlantis astronauts woke up this morning to Beyoncé’s hit single “Run the World (Girls)” and a personal message from the singer. Beyoncé thanked astronauts for encouraging us to live our dreams, especially the female astronauts who have pioneered space exploration for women everywhere.
In other music news, rapper Pharrell of N.E.R.D. recently released a new drink for women, Qream, a low-calorie alcoholic beverage. Qream is a vodka-based cream liqueur that has the same alcohol content as a glass of wine, but fewer calories. Speaking of rappers, a US Marine recorded a rap inviting Betty White to a ball where he will be performing. Rapper Kanye West spent $43,451 on shirts when he went shopping this weekend in London.
Jennifer Lopez is the most recent celeb to split with her hubby Marc Anthony after a seven-year marriage. The couple had fraternal twins back in 2008. The rumor mill speculates that Lopez could have cheated with William Levy, the hunk seen into “I’m Into You” video. He apparently cheated on his wife with 40 women before separating from her in May. During my daily web surfing, I always check MyWebSearch Update for the latest entertainment and celeb news.
My web search this week led me to red carpet photos of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint — the three stars of the “Harry Potter” films. As I perused the comments from the three actors, as well as the author J.K. Rowling herself, I couldn’t help but realize what a sad moment this is — not just for “Harry Potter” fans, but for the cast, too. Radcliffe, Watson and Grint started filming “Harry Potter” at an early age and continued with the seven-part saga for 10 years. They have done everything in their “Potter” lives together, from photo shoots to appearances to red carpet premieres, the trio has truly grown up together.
Now, with the last installment of “Harry Potter” — “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” — due out in the United States on July 15 at 12:01 a.m., the series has come to a close. J.K. Rowling has previously stated that she won’t write any more “Harry Potter” books, but at the London premiere, she said something that emboldened the hope of “Potter” fanatics everywhere: that there is a possibility of future books. Though she told Radcliffe that there would be no more “Harry Potter” books with Potter as the central character, the comment excited fans around the world with hope of more “Potter” in the future.
If there is more “Harry Potter” to come, I know I’ll be able to get all the latest info from MyWebSearch Update.
My web search led to me to recent news that Chord Overstreet, who played transfer student Sam Evans last season, is leaving Fox’s musical hit “Glee” and won’t return for next season. A representative from Fox confirmed the news, and Overstreet reacted in a melancholy tweet: “Well its been a good yr too bad its over.” Despite his apparent eloquence, speculators say that Overstreet may appear in a couple more episodes as a guest star, but will not be on the series as a regular.
Season three has seen some new additions, though, including Darren Criss, who plays Blaine Anderson, lead singer of the all-male a cappella group “The Warblers.” Harry Shum, Jr., who plays Mike Chang, will also be back for the third season. Both Criss and Shum were added to the series as regular cast members.
“Glee” creator Ryan Murphy stated that some of the show’s main characters would graduate at the end of season three, because he didn’t want the characters to seem as though they were in high school forever. This news might be unpopular to “Glee” fans, but even in the two years the show has been on the air, it’s made quite an impression. I know for the best entertainment news, I can turn to MyWebSearch Update anytime.
